Dimensions: Width: 7.5 cm x Height: 7 cm Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue and White Porcelain Water Pot. Potted in a shallow body, slight deep, globular body, close mouth rim, raised on ring foot base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white and blue color, depicted of thrashing lishui wavy waves. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the under glaze greyish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design.
