The flattened pendant of arc shape, detailed in openwork with scrolls below and above, and terminating in two fierce looking dragon heads with open mouth, their heads turned backwards, the bodies joined and incised with interlocking C-scrolls. The top pierced from both sides for suspension. The semi-translucent stone is of an even white color with few tiny russet inclusions and minor calcification. Provenance: The Collection of Sam and Myrna Myers, Paris, France. Acquired between circa 1965-2012. The jade with collector’s number ‘15’, ’10.27.80’, and ‘5651’. Condition: Very good condition with expected old wear, signs of weathering, minor erosion, and traces of prolonged burial, minuscule nibbles. Natural fissures and inclusions in the stone.
