An Extremely Rare and Finely Engraved Chinese Green Jade Heart Sutra Book, Consisting of Four Panels with Gilt Script and Buddhist Deity Engravings, Housed in an Original Carved Hardwood Case Inset with White Jade Plaque Comprising four heavy jade panels of rich celadon-green tone, each meticulously polished and engraved in exceptionally fine detail. Two panels depict seated Buddhist figures one serene Buddha seated in dhyana on swirling cloud scrolls, the other a dynamic celestial guardian with flowing ribbons their outlines crisply engraved and highlighted in gold. The figures float amidst dense cloud formations, executed with rhythmic, continuous linework evoking Tang-style Buddhist mural sensibilities.
