It was produced by the Italian furniture manufacturer Zanotta. It is made of aluminum, which was painted in black. The graphical rhombus decor is cut out and formed by the aluminum hinges. The folding-screen measures 160 x 150 cm and is in very good condition with minor wear. Bruno Munari (1907-1998) Born in Milan, the artist Bruno Munari worked as a painter, graphic artist and graphic designer. He was also active in the fields of sculpture, film, literature and industrial design. Munari studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan. From 1927, he followed the futurist movement in the circle of Filippo Tommaso Marinetti. Some works also feature a turn to Surrealism. In sculpture, he showed a constructivist interest. After the Second World War, Munari focused on industrial design. In 1948, he founded the group Movimento Arte Concreta along with Gillo Dorfles, Gianni Monnet and Atanasio Soldati. Munari was always trying to find new forms of expression through the use of new materials. He participated twice in the Venice Biennale and the documenta in Kassel.
