Fine Herschede Brass-Mounted Burl Wood Chiming Tall Case Clock Model 250, The movement and face signed Herschede. The flagship tall case clock of the Herschede Hall Clock Company, it was also one of the last to be produced by Herschede prior to the firms closing. The rectangular case fitted with brass banding, the upper part with a swan neck cresting centering a shell, the case with glazed door exposing three brass-clad weights, a pendulum, and nine chromed steel tubes, playing both Westminster and Whittington chimes, the three-train movement with an etched brass clock face, and center subsidiary dial, a strike/silent and a tune indicator, the silvered chapter ring with large Arabic numerals, centering scroll cut hands, all beneath an arch with painted moon phases and the days of the week, with winding crank.
