Antique French grandfather case clock housed in a tall wooden case with a molded cornice and paneled construction. The upper section features a glass door opening to the clock face, fitted with an arched glass panel, while the lower section retains a paneled door enclosing the pendulum chamber. The clock face is set within an ornate brass metal surround mount with a nautical-themed sailing ship repousse arch at the top and foliate motifs along the sides. The face displays Roman numeral hour markers with decorative metal hands and is marked HERVE A PERE. The interior is fitted with a weight-driven movement and includes two weights and a pendulum. Dimensions: 80 X 17.5 X 12.5 in. Condition: Good overall antique condition, having typical age-related surface wear, scuffs, and patina. Oxidation present on the weights and pendulum, and the enameled face shows age-related crazing in one area. The clock has not been tested for functionality and may require service and/or parts.
