Establishing his workshop at 106 rue Vieille du Temple, Dasson earned great distinction at the Expositions Universelles of 1878 and 1889, where his gilt-bronze mounts were praised for their precision and splendor. His pieces are invariably signed with the anglicized form Henry Dasson.
