Ansonia Mantle Clock with Putti Figures. This is standing group #1089 with two putti standing with a basket of fruit and cherries/grapes in hand. They are standing on a fluted column plinth base with garland swags. Clock has a 5" gilt dial with Brocot exposed escapement surrounded by enameled Arabic numerals. The escapement depicts a reclining lady in a ribbon and bow hammock before a landscape of home. The bezel has beveled glass. Works are marked, "Ansonia Patented New York 6 1/2." Base and figures are spelter. Comes with the original pendulum and key. Figures measure 16 3/4" high. Clock measures 12 1/4" high X 12 1/2" wide X 9" deep. Overall measures 29" high. Condition- The clock and statue are in good condition with old gold paint over-paint. Beveled bezel has chip that is very hard to detect unless door is opened. Clock works appear to be in good condition. One putti has small stress crack in hand. See photos.
