A Black Jade Ritual Axe (Yue) with Mask Motif, Liangzhu Culture, circa 3300–2200 BC Carved from a dense dark stone with smooth polish and mineral alteration along the edges, the rectangular blade tapers slightly and bears twin notches, two small perforations, and a central aperture. The upper section is incised with symmetrical curvilinear patterns forming a stylized mask above horizontal dividing grooves.
