A Rare Celadon Jade Openwork Plaque Carved with a Mask Motif, Shang Dynasty (circa 13th–11th Century BC) Carved from a single piece of celadon jade, the plaque is pierced and decorated with a powerful mask motif, the eyes beneath heavy brows flanked by symmetrical scroll-like horns. A heart-shaped aperture forms the central opening, while the lower section is embellished with elongated, curving appendages. The jade shows subtle alteration consistent with age. H: 4 In (10.2 cm) W: 1 ¾ In (4.5 cm) 西周 - 人龍玉 此件以整料青玉浮雕鏤空而成，整體呈長方形，上下略收分。通體以淺浮雕、鏤空及陰刻線紋雕成，正面主題為威嚴突出的「神面」紋飾，雙目圓睜，眉眼間以細刻線勾勒出抽象化的龍形象。其額部刻捲雲形冠飾，兩側作對稱夔龍捲尾紋，中心鏤空呈心形結構，寓示通靈之象。全器刀工精湛，線條勻稱流暢，局部可見自然沁色。 Provenance 來源 : 洛杉磯西人藏家 $2,600
