A WUCAI 'DESCENDING GEESE' SLEEVE VASE Shunzhi The tall cylindrical vessel decorated in vibrant enamels and underglaze blue around the exterior with a continuous scene of hibiscus and lotus blossoms issuing undulating leaves, two geese on the bank gaze above at three descending geese in flight, all beneath a red sun and billowing scallop-shaped clouds, all between anhua lines at the shoulder and foot, the neck with further floral sprays. 43.3cm (17 1/16in) high.
