CHINA, QING DYNASTY, 19th CENTURY Seated Buddha in meditation Gilded bronze Depicted in dhyanasana, right hand in the gesture of taking the earth as witness (bhumisparsha mudra), left hand resting in dhyana mudra on his knees. He is dressed in a monastic robe covering his left shoulder and leaving his right shoulder free, highlighted by a fine hemline. The face is serene, framed by elongated ears, topped by hair with small curls and a ushnisha.
