작품 상세
SERIAL NUMBER: NSN, BARREL: 25 1/2", CALIBER: barrel relined to about .45 MFG:18th Century. Interesting very early firearm. Has octagon barrel that is swamped at the muzzle. Has brass furniture and elaborate carved walnut stock with sliding wood patchbox. There is an indiscernible makers name on top barrel flat. A tag on the firearm states" Antoni Mamm Mainz" but was unable to verify that name as a possible maker. There is a square hole behind the tang for a sight. CONDITION: Good The firearm has had quite a bit of restoration. The lock is a modern replacement that works properly. The lock is held on with one screw. The horn nose cap, sights and loading rod are replacements. There is a inlay at the barrel breech marked "B.O.". Perhaps this was done when the barrel was relined. The stock is quite nice for its age with wonderful carving with some tight stress cracks and worm holes. This is a rare early firearm, that really has a great look. ANTIQUE
