A 19th Century Chinese Carved & Lacquered Altar Cabinet. The long, shallow top swept up and carved into a small scroll at end end above a boldly carved facade ornamented with flowers and Fenghuang depicted in cinnabar lacquer frosted with gilding and accommodating three over four small drawers fitted with brass ring handles. The piece raised on a scrolling stand with pierced flanking pieces either side, 40'' (102 cm) high, 82'' (208 cm) wide, 14½'' (37 cm) deep.
