Serial # 869110 < br > The Winchester Model 1894 Rifle (also known as the Winchester 94 or Win 94) is a lever-action repeating rifle that became one of the most famous and popular hunting rifles. It was designed by John Browning in 1894 and It was the first rifle to chamber a smokeless powder round, the .30 WCF (Winchester Center Fire, in time becoming known as the .30-30 caliber). The barrel length is 20 inches and the feed system holds 6 rounds of .30 W.C.F ammo in an internal, tubular magazine. The rifle has rear leaf sights and "barley corn" type front sights. "Saddle-ring" attached to left side of rifle, opposite the side of where the rifle is loaded. *An FFL (Federal Firearms License) is required for this firearm, which is considered contemporary, manufactured after Dec. 31, 1898. The buyer assumes responsibility to provide the auctioneer house with the name of an FFL holder for us to ship to him/her to be released to the buyer in a legal manner. The only circumstance under which the auction house can release the firearm to the buyer directly is if the buyer himself holds a current FFL, and provides an original (not a copy) to the auction house.
