dating: 18th/19th Century provenance: Italy, Smoothbore, two-stage, square and round, 13 mm cal barrel with rifling at the girdle, the breech signed ‘G. CHINELLI’ on the back. Snaphaunce lock with slightly rounded plate, tang and hammer screw cover with carved mask; typical snap of the Snaphaunce pistol. Wooden full stock with engraved silver mounts. Non-pertinent, iron-tipped ramrod. Some restoration work. length 38.5 cm.
