Susan Geissler (American, b. 1953) Potato Man Measurements: 66 1/2 in. high × 23 in. wide × 22 1/2 in. deep Mixed media life-size sculpture. Life-size sculptural figure depicting an elderly man standing upright, dressed in work clothes and a flat cap. The figure holds a wooden walking stick in one hand and a metal bucket filled with potatoes in the other, with a folded cloth draped over his shoulder. His weathered facial features, white beard, and slightly open mouth are rendered with close attention to naturalistic detail, conveying age and character. The clothing is textured to suggest worn fabric, with muted gray-blue tones contrasting against the warmer flesh and accessory elements. Mounted on a rectangular base.
