Originalplatte E. Bahn" Date: c. 1940 Description: Ernst Bahn's joy in experimentation was particularly evident in his early work. He studied old prints for their subject and technique. This sheet shows a reprint of an engraving that the artist presumably "refreshed", i.e. re-engraved. The classical motif shows the crucifixion of Jesus.
