A Lithograph "The Climax" by Aubrey Beardsley c1893 This is another one of the seventeen Illlustrations Beardsley produced for Oscar Wilde's play Salome. This artwork is classic Art Nouveau, it is in black and white (due to the influence of Japanese Block Prints at the time), and the scene depicts Salome Kissing the severed Head of Jakanaan (John the Baptist). An interesting piece. The Frame measures 46cm wide by 62cm high
