Thomas Hart Benton (American, 1889-1975) Photographing the Bull, 1950 Lithograph on paper 16” x 12” (image) Edition of 500   Pencil-signed to the bottom right margin. Circulated by Twayne Publishers, New York City, with their blind stamp to the bottom left corner of the sheet, numbered in pen along the bottom edge of the sheet (#485 of 500). The sheet measures 16" x 20" and the glazed frame measures 21 ½" x 25 ½".   Of Photographing the Bull, Benton wrote: “Study made while preparing the mural Achelous and Hercules for the Harzfeld Store in K.C.
