Jean Pierre Jazet (1788-1871), one of the most important engravers of the 19th century. He exhibited from 1817 and quickly rose to prominence, engraving the works of many painters, including David, Gros, Bellangé or Carle Vernet, and was awarded the Legion of Honor in 1846.Antoine Charles Horace Vernet known as Carle Vernet (1758-1836), horse painter, pupil of his father Joseph Vernet and Nicolas Bernard Lépicié.
