A large transparent-glazed white stoneware cup, Sui dynasty 隋　白瓷盃 with deep rounded sides resting on a short splayed foot with bevelled edge, covered with a finely crackled transparent glossy glaze pooling to a pale celadon tint on the interior and around the foot, the flat base left unglazed revealing the creamy white body, Japanese wood box d. 12.1 cm
