Solomon's Judgement; interior of a large hall with the king seated under a canopy at center, two women before him with baby lying on the floor between them, a soldier drawing his sword at right, other soldiers and courtiers beyond. Etching made under de direction of Cornelis Ploos van Amstel (1726-1798) by Cornelis Brouwer in 1782. Verso: Coat of arms of Ploos van Amstel in Crayon-manner in Ploos van Amstel's technique. Part of the 'Ectypa' of Ploos van Amstel, a series of forty-six etchings of his 'head' prints (published in separate sets between 1765-1787).
