Featured in this lot is this framed etching of a caravan's silhouette by Wyoming artist Joel Ostlind born in 1954. The etching features a wonderfully and professionally crafted construction that shows the silhouette of a large swath of mounted people's riding away from the viewer and is marked as follows: 35/60 - Joel Ostlind. A self-taught artist, Joel Ostlind was born and raised around Casper, Wyoming, he depicts the heritage of the West in his paintings and printmaking. Ostlind attended Casper College and later the University of Wyoming for a degree in soil science and Texas Christian University for a degree in ranch management. The condition of this framed etching is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage and shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of this etching is 14 1/4" x 26" and the visible artwork measures 7" x 18 3/4". The collective weight of this etching is 3lb 10oz.
