A framed black & white print titled "Oriens" by engraver and antiquary Pietro Santi Bartoli (Italian, b. 1635 - d. 1700). Depicts a scene with three horses, an angel, a man, and a woman. The artist devoted himself entirely to his work as an antiquarian, with engravings that document a wide range of art and architecture from the the Roman Empire. The piece was printed from plate 40, and the text below title reads: "SOL IN CVRVV VICTOR ORBEM TENENS PALMAM PRAEBET PHOSPHORO SYMBOLVM ROMANI IMPERII VICTORIS IN ORIENTE."
