Aldegrever wählt hier nicht Lucretias oft tugendhaft ausgelegten Selbstmord, der der Gewalttat folgt, sondern zeigt die Tat selbst, nutzt sie somit als Vorwand einer expliziten, geradezu pornographischen Bildumsetzung.
