Links das der Osterliturgie stets vorangestellte Kanonblatt mit der Darstellung der Kreuzigung (die Rückseite wie immer unbedruckt). Burgkmairs Holzschnitt wurde von Ratdolt erstmals 1502 für das Missale für die Diözese Freising verwendet und wird in der Literatur oft als sein schönstes Kanonblatt bezeichnet. On the left, the canon leaf, which always precedes the Easter liturgy, with a depiction of the Crucifixion (the reverse, as always, blank). Burgkmair's woodcut was first used by Ratdolt in 1502 for the missal for the Diocese of Freising and is often described in the literature as his most beautiful canon leaf.
