Alexander Calder (American 1898-1976), color lithograph Boomerang, 1973, pencil signed and numbered A.P. artist's proof, with Transworld Art blind stamp, on Arches paper with deckled lower edge, 44" x 30 1/4". Provenance: Alex and Carole Rosenberg Collection. From 1968 to 1988, Alex Rosenberg, under the name Transworld Art, published more than 700 editions featuring works by over 60 artists. Many of the artists were represented by the Alex Rosenberg Gallery. Notable partners included Alexander Calder, Salvador Dalí, Romare Bearden, Henry Moore, Mark Tobey, and Robert Rauschenberg, who were commissioned to create prints and multiples.
