A Chinese Scroll Painting by Chen Shao Mei (1260 x 37cm) Chen Shaomei (April 1909 September 1954), male, Han ethnicity, also known as Yunzhang or Yunquai, with the courtesy name Shenghu and the courtesy name Shaomei, was born into a scholarly family in Hengshan, Hunan. She is a modern painter. I have been learning calligraphy, painting, poetry, and literature with my father since childhood, and have been deeply influenced by traditional Chinese culture. At the age of 15, he joined the "Chinese Painting Research Association" initiated by Jin Beilou, Chen Shizeng, and others. At 17, he became the backbone of the famous "Hu Society Painting Association". At 22, he presided over the "Hu Society Tianjin Branch" and became a leader in the Tianjin painting industry. In 1930, his works won the Silver Award in Fine Arts at the Belgium Centenary International Exposition, and he began to make a name for himself in the art world, becoming an influential painter in the Beijing Tianjin area. After the establishment of the People's Republic of China, he served as the Chairman of the Tianjin Branch of the Chinese Artists Association and the President of Tianjin Art School
