A RARE AND IMPORTANT WHITE PORCELAIN RETICULATED JAR Joseon dynasty (1392-1897), 18th/19th century The large, spherical jar with a straight neck and set on a low, slightly splayed ring foot, the body comprised of a dual layered structure, the inner ovoid liner thrown on a wheel, the outer layer a continuous frieze of four large peony blossoms and vines incised and pierced in openwork, the design framed by a band of incised scrolling vines around the shoulder and stiff leaf lappets and ruyi heads around the foot, the surface details all finely incised and covered in a transparent glaze with a blue cast, the foot adhered with traces of sand With a wood tomobako storage box 10 7/8in (27.6cm) high; 12 1/2in (31.8cm) wide
