Leo Frank, Austrian (1884 - 1959), "Frühlingsgewitter," (Spring Thunderstorm) color woodcut on paper, measures 9 x 14 inches to the image edge, 14.75 x 18.75 inches framed. CONDITION: Good, toned. A painter and printmaker, Frank was born in Vienna, the younger twin of brother Hans. Like his brother, Leo became a painter who specialized in landscapes, still lifes, and portraits, and a printmaker who specialized in color woodcut.
