Signed and numbered limited edition litho print by William S. Phillips (1945- Oregon / California) "Into the Teeth of the Tiger" depicts a war plane fight over Hengyang China on December 12, 1943 between an American P-40 piloted by 1st Lt. Don Lopez and a Japanese "Oscar" plane. Artist pencil signed lower right. Signed by Don Lopez with I really know how to "wing 'em!" script lower left. Limited edition number 300/1000. Work window measures 15 1/2" x 27 1/4". Frame measures 22 3/4" x 34 1/2". Good condition with mild toning to paper. Crack to glass, wear and dents to frame. Hill Auction Gallery will not ship.
