작품 상세

Ed Paschke (1939 - 2004). Signed lower right. Sight Size: 12.5 x 14 inches. American painter and printmaker, Ed Paschke was a leading representative of the Chicago Imagist school that emerged in the mid-1960s, having studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, where he later taught. He exhibited widely, including shows at the Whitney Museum in New York City and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago. Paschke's vigorous studies added a controversial footnote to the Pop art movement. He drew his subjects from the fringes of society. Hallucinogenic colors capture exotic aspects of Chicago's night life. -
