The paper is minimally browned and has a slightly more discolored stripe along the left side. Besides, the sheet shows faint handling marks. The dried leaf is a bit porous and has a number of tiny losses. The image measures c. 68 x 56 cm and the sheet 100 x 71 cm. Giovanni Anselmo (b. 1934) Giovanni Anselmo studied at the Art Academy in Turin. He was initially active as a painter, but in the 1960s he eventually approached new horizons in art. A representative of Arte Povera, his fascination applies to phenomena and forces of nature, which he often encounters with unprocessed materials, such as iron bars or blocks of granite.
