All three prints show a nude man from different point of views, practicing gymnastics by hanging head over at a row. All prints were made after a series of paintings titled ‘Rotfigurig I-III’ (=Red figures I-III) created in 2002. Characteristic for Norbert Tadeusz work is the use of bright and intense colors that are expressed in the red figures, achieving a certain effect in front of the black background. This etchings were produced in a total edition of 12 copies. All three etchings are signed and dated below the plate ‘Tadeusz 03’ as well as numbered ‘6/12’. All sheets are in very good condition indicating only insignificant signs of wear. The plate’s size is 59.5 x 43.5 cm each. The sheets measure 69.5 x 99.5 cm each. Norbert Tadeusz (1940-2011) Norbert Tadeusz was born 1940 in Dortmund. He started his education in 1960 at the Werkkunstschule in Dortmund under Gustav Deppe, followed by studies at the Düsseldorf Kunstakademie under Gerhard Hoehme and Joseph Fassbender. In 1966 he graduated as a master student of Joseph Beuys. After his graduation he held lectureships at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf for its department in Münster that eventually resulted in a professorship a little later. He further lectured as a professor at the Staatliche Akademie der Künste in Karlsruhe as well as the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin and Braunschweig.
