Though a professional modeled the extreme yoga pose for sculpture, all of the measurements are based of Moss's own body. Over the years, Quinn has created many different sculptures of Moss. In 2011, a monumental sculpture of Moss in a yoga pose was exhibited outside Christie's New York. Marc Quinn (BRITISH, 1964) Born in London in 1964, Marc studied art history at Robinson College, Cambridge. Beginning to exhibit in the early 1990's he is now part of the loose art group known as the Young British Artists. Quinn has exhibited his work at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London (2001), 50th Venice Biennale (2003) and Tate Gallery, London (1995). Quinn's sculpture, paintings and drawings often deal with the distanced relationship we have with our bodies, highlighting how the conflict between the 'natural' and 'cultural' has a grip on the contemporary psyche.
