DESCRIPTIONS: François Martinet (French, 1725-1804). Five hand colored bird etchings. Each with scale for measurement, plate number in upper right corner, "Dessiné et gravé par Martinet" in the lower left corner, and the French name of the bird at the bottom center. Includes: 1) Faucon patu, 2) Grebe hupée, 3) Oye a duxet ou Eider mâle, 4) Beccaßine du cap de Bonne Espèrance, and 5) Corbeau blanc du Nord and Carouge à tête jaune d'Amérique. Each under beige matting in a black frame. MEASUREMENTS: Images range from 8-3/4" x 8-1/2" to 8-3/4" x 10-7/8". Overall in frames range from 16-1/2" x 15-1/2" to 16" x 18". CONDITION: Toning and darkening to each due to age. Light wear to frames.
