The image is titled 'Sophie' and shows her in blue and red lines. The background is depicted in a light blue. The work is signed on the lower left in pencil with 'T. Schütte' and dated in the lower center with '2005'. On the lower right the number '42/50' is visible and the watermark of 'Somerset England' is visible on the top right and the lower left edge. The color etching is in very good condition. The sheet has the dimensions of 76 x 57 cm and the image size is 42 x 30 cm. Thomas Schütte (b. 1954) Thomas Schütte studied at the Art Academy Dusseldorf from 1973 to 1981. Various techniques as well as a wide variety of shapes can be found in his many works. His artistic output ranges from architecture models and etchings to voluminous sculptures. In 2005 he participated in the Venice Biennale and was awarded as the best artist of the exhibition.
