A vintage colored woodcut from artist Gustave Baumann (1881 - 1971) circa 1920s depicting a Native American village scene. Baumann was born in Germany and came to the United States at a young age to study at the Art Institute of Chicago. He created many a woodblock print for authors of the day. He settled in New Mexico in 1918 where he began to produce prints, carvings and paintings of Native Americans, the Grand Canyon, and many other views of the West. Image measures approximately 6.5" x 6.25" and frame 23.5" x 19.5"
