EDVARD MUNCH Kvinnehode. Drypoint printed in dark brownish black on cream wove paper, 1902. 340x263 mm; 13 3/8x10 3/8 inches, full margins. Edition of approximately only 11 on wove paper. Signed in pencil, lower right. Signed by the printer, Felsing, in pencil, lower left. A brilliant, richly-inked impression of this very scarce, early print. Woll notes that, "according to a bill from Felsing dated 9 January 1914, 22 [impressions] were printed on Japan and 11 on ordinary paper." Schiefler 162; Woll 184.
