Heinrich Aldegrever (c.1501-1561) Hercules killing the Nemean Lion; Hercules fighting the Hydra, from The Labours of Hercules series, plates 2 and 4, respectively, engravings, c.1550 but later impressions, [B. 84; B. 86], 110 x 70mm. (4 1/4 x 2 3/4 in), and 100 x 70mm. (4 x 2 3/4 in); with a small group of 6 other engravings, including two etchings of continental street scenes, a biblical illustration by Romeyn de Hooge, published by Lindenberg, two engravings after Johann Heinrich Roos, with a copy after Dirk Jacobsz Vellert's The drunken drummer [cf. B. 16], and two further sheets of five engravings by Frans Edmund Weitrotter, 19th century impressions, v.s., largest 150 x 200mm. (6 x 7 3/4 in), all unframed (10).
