Nicolaes Berchem (1620-1683) Resting Herd, etching, on laid paper watermarked with foolscap, c.1650, [Holl. 10], 265 x 210mm. (10 1/4 x 8 1/4 in); with the etched title and two plates from 'Animalia', three other etchings after Berchem, three late impressions of etchings by Adriaen van de Velde from his series of ten on 'Various animals' with collector's stamps of Dr Peart [Lugt 891], an etching of cattle by Paulus Potter, three etchings of dogs by Johann Elias Ridinger from his sketchbook of mammals, an early lithograph by Gustave Adolphe Simonau of peasants and cattle, and three others prints of livestock by different hands, v.s., all unframed (17).
