Giovanni Battista Piranesi (1720-1778) THE ROUND TOWER (HIND 3; ROBISON 30)) Etching and engraving, circa 1749, Robison's sixth state of six, from Carceri d'Invenzione, lightstain and matstain, affixed with tape at part of top and bottom sheet edges verso to top mat, some printer's ink and soiling and other discoloration in the margins and verso, some small loss at top right sheet corner and center of top right sheet edge, a few tears at sheet edges (longest 1 1/2 inches), otherwise in good condition, with wide (full?) margins, framed. 21 3/4 x 16 3/8 inches; 552 x 416 mm. Sheet 27 5/8 x 22 inches; 702 x 559 mm.
