Hayter COMBAT (BLACK/MOORHEAD 210) Color engraving and soft-ground etching, 1953, signed, dated, inscribed Battle and IV State D, a rare proof state outside the edition of 220, some abrasion at sheet corners recto, some tapestaining at bottom sheet edge verso, a few handling and printer's creases in the margins (one extending slightly into the image top left), some printer's ink and a few small foxing spots in the margins and verso, otherwise in good condition, with (full?) margins, framed. 11 3/4 x 7 3/4 inches; 298 x 197 mm. Sheet 19 5/8 x 13 1/4 inches; 498 x 337 mm.
