Albrecht Durer THE CIRCUMCISION (BARTSCH 86, MEDER 198) Woodcut, circa 1505, from the 1511 Latin text edition, from The Life of the Virgin, with tower watermark (M. 259), pale matstain, some tape and glue residue at sheet edges verso, a few foxing spots and some unobtrusive soiling, a flattened horizontal fold near center, some handling creases, some skillfully repaires tears in the image (mainly visible verso), otherwise in good condition, with large margins, framed. 11 5/8 x 8 1/8 inches; 295 x 206 mm. Sheet 15 1/4 x 10 7/8 inches; 387 x 276 mm.
