Karl Schmidt-Rottluff RUSSISCHE MADONNA (S. R58) Drypoint, 1921, signed (by the artist and the printer F. Voight) and inscribed in pencil, on thick wove paper, two vertical folds through the sheet at left and right platemarks, two horizontal folds through the sheet in the top and bottom margins, a few spots of discoloration in the bottom of the image, a few small foxing spots and some soiling in the margins and verso, some old tape and glue residue (with some associated abrasion) at top sheet corners verso, two pieces of old paper tape at left sheet edge verso, some creasing and a few skillfully repaired short tears along left sheet edge, a small area of light abrasion in the left margin, otherwise in good condition, with wide margins, framed. 15 3/8 x 13 inches; 391 x 330 mm. Sheet 23 x 18 1/8 inches; 584 x 460 mm.
