Milton Avery ROOSTER (L. 50) Color woodcut, 1953, signed and dated in pencil, on thin wove Japan, edition of 100, lightstain and matstain, some printer''s ink and scattered foxing in the margins and verso, two small areas of tapestaining at top sheet edge, some creasing in the margins, two thin areas in the bottom margin, an approximately 1 1/2 x 3/8 inch loss at top right sheet edge (extending to 1/4 inch from image), otherwise in good condition, with good margins. 9 5/8 x 7 1/4 inches; 244 x 184 mm.
