Mexicana de Aviacion vintage poster 1945 sight: 22.5 h x 16.5 w in (57 x 42 cm) Mexicana de Aviacion got off the ground in the early 1920s as Mexico's first airline, starting out with mail and passenger flights before quickly expanding into cross-border service. In 1929, Pan American Airways' Juan Trippe took a majority stake in the airline, which helped Mexicana build new international routes and modernize its fleet at a time when flying between countries was still novel. Thanks to that partnership, Mexicana became a key link between Mexico and destinations in the United States, Central America, and the Caribbean, even becoming the first foreign carrier to fly into Los Angeles in the mid-1930s. This poster features several inviting images that highlight Mexico's natural landscapes and historic beauty. This work will ship from Los Angeles, California.
