Chaix, Paris One of two posters Rassenfosse created for the Salon des Cent in 1896, this later one announces an exhibition of original designs and prints. In warm sepia tones, we see a nude harlequin carefully studying an equally-nude Belle Epoque lady under the scrutiny of a magnifying glass -- perhaps a tongue-in-cheek reference that those who judge the artists within the confines of the Salon are in fact fools.
