Woodrow Wilson Versailles, France, ca. 1919 "The Big Four" at Paris Peace Conference, Signed by Wilson, Lloyd George & Clemenceau! Signed photograph A large, sepia-toned photograph depicting the four principal Allied diplomats, dubbed "the Big Four", at the Paris Peace Conference in Versailles. 1p, measuring 14.75" x 13" (sight), [Versailles, France], ca. 1919. Signed in the lower margin by three of the four subjects as "D. Lloyd George", "G. Clemenceau", and "Woodrow Wilson". With Signal Corps USA circular imprint at lower left. Double matted and framed to an overall size of 19.75" x 18.25". Exhibits light creasing along top margin, with isolated soiling present in the upper right. Lightly toned, otherwise near fine. Not examined outside of frame. The largest example of this image we have seen! Seated from left to right: Prime Minister of Italy Vittorio Orlando (1860-1952), who briefly pulled out of the conference and was probably not available to sign when these souvenirs of the event were completed; Prime Minister Great Britain, David Lloyd George (1863-1945); Prime Minister of France, Georges Clemenceau (1841-1929); and 28th U.S. President Woodrow Wilson (1856-1924).
